Message from the President:

Dear Members and Prospective members of NWPC, Marin Chapter,

Thank you for your support and your interest in our organization. NWPC is a grassroots organization that recruits, trains and supports women running for public office. This year has seen our own Nancy Pelosi rise to the position of the most powerful woman in the United States. Our state has two women Senators and Debra Bowen is now our California Secretary of State. These are wonderful and heartening accomplishments for all women.

However, to keep women and women’s issues in the forefront, we need to continue to bring competent candidates to all levels of the political process. The Marin Caucus offers mentoring and formal coaching for anyone interested in taking that leap into the political arena. Many of the members are elected officials and can offer practical advice for the fledgling candidate.

For those women not interested in running for office, we offer programs concerning local issues and a chance to support your local elected officials through Forums and the endorsement process.

I hope you will continue to check our web site for future events and, of course, your participation is always a welcome addition.
